Task 6 – Presentation

1st draft of the final product.

Final draft of the product

In my first maze i was trying to create a Asian Temple theme to it that is why I implemented a Chinese gates at each end of the maze, this helped the maze seem like it was from the eastern countries, within the first maze i used a texture on the maze itself which made it look, like the rock has been chipped away over the years giving it a sense that it has been there a long time. The fences around the path way symbolize the way to go it also adds the finishing touches to the maze itself.

In my second maze i was trying to create a drop down maze which is totally different from the traditional maze, when creating this maze i was going for a mysterious maze, as the walls a pixelated giving it a spacey theme but i didn't mean for this to happen, the reason they got pixelated was because the objects were stretched out but it worked out to my advantage as they became the spacey theme

Focus Group Feedback

After showing off my flythrough of a maze to a focus group, consisting of James Lodge, Martin Devney, Ben Lloynd and Ryan Edge from my class. The feedback I gained on how should continue on my Maze.

  • i learned that everyone loved the overview of the maze on how the camera began by exploring the maze.
  • I also learned that without any sound to the flythrough, it didn't give the atmosphere i wanted which was spooky, so i implemented sound into the flythrough and gave it a spooky atmosphere.
  • I also learned that the second maze, my focus group said that it was shorter than the first one so I stretched out the video by this the video became longer but slower.
I felt this group was appropriate to my project as all of them have a interest of playing puzzle games and games that challenge the mind. I kept on going back to them each time for feedback, as I consider them as people who give valuable feedback.
